Amazing place. You can see all Juneau city and glaciers from the top of the mountain. There are very good hotels, shoping and food services.

Everyone was really nice and the view is breathtaking... they halted the tram due to a passing thunderstorm... the staffs handed out ponchos and items from the souvenir shop for free for the inconvenience of waiting... totally took me by surprise 😊they could have sold the poncho even for $1.00 but they opted to just hand it out for free ... so generous and a wonderful gesture ... thank you Mount Roberts Tramway
The views are stunning. There are two cars that go up and down. If you get motion sickness recommend half or quarter of Dramamine. It is a very short ride though, 5 minutes tops. The ticket is $35 at this time of review. Good all day. Gets busy when the cruise ships arrive so go before 11 am. Most people hike to the cross. It is all uphill. It took me about 45 minutes round trip to take breaks and photos. Can get windy up top and also hot once you get moving so layer accordingly. Great views and we enjoyed the walking trails too.
It’s pretty when you get to the top. Just know there are mostly trails. There is a gift shop and restaurant. It was hot the day we were there.
