RecommendedDr Burt is by far the best I've dealt w/since the 80's. He takes awesome care of my fur family w/what needs to be done. Unlike other Vet's I've gone to that do tests for what seems to only be to drain your wallet, he doesn't do tests or procedures that don't need to be done. In today's economy that's a big plus in helping to keep your fur family healthy. My husband and I have 3 cats ( jack, Jameson and princess turtle head) and one dog ( my westie Charlie) we have needed them for everything from flea help to emergencies. We are moving to Florida next year and I wish I could bring the entire staff with us. Our animals love them and the staff is top notch I can’t recommend them enough. Not only do they care and understand they are just as good with the animals as they are with me. If they could deliver babies I would go there too! Love the Dr's and staff here! I've been going here for years, since they saved my now 15 year old Chihuahua from diabetic crisis. They're willing to work with you as far as scheduling, and the prices are fair.
The staff are all so caring, it’s like a family. They are accommodating with appointment times and have always been able to squeeze us in for various mishaps outside of regular checkups. I’ve had to say goodbye to two cats over the years and they gave me a private room to spend our last minutes together, plus some time after to mourn, and a private exit to avoid the waiting room. They care about your pets and you. Prices are very reasonable compared to the other island vets.
Brought my sick senior dog there about three weeks ago for the first time. Saw a tech & vet within an appropriate amount of time and both seemed personable. Ran lab work on my dog, which I had to call back in for results with no explanation from the doctor and no follow up. Apparently he had the beginning of pancreatitis but only walked away with nausea meds. It got progressively worse and is now being treated by another local vet office.
My daughter brought her lizard in there for an EMERGENCY visit. An Xray was needed and not taken and the vet on at that time barely gave five minutes of his time. Ended up the leg was broken!!! 90$ waste of time!!!
