Their ice cream is absolutely amazing. Not sure why people go to the other ice cream shop across the street, as MDIIC is much more inventive with their flavors! Very creamy too! Even my kids (who often want "plain chocolate") loved MDIIC best. The "dude" (basically an ice cream version of a white russian), Bay of Figs, butterbeer, butterscotch miso, blueberry basil, cinnamon cardemom, and the sweet salty peanut butter were all my favorites (visited multiple times on our trip!). Walked out. Two people working making milkshakes for the family I front of me instead of one of them taking the new customers orders. Sorry but I'm not waiting 15 minutes for an ice cream.
You'll never have a bad dish or cone of ice cream or sorbet here. Every flavor is a winner, the quality is superb, the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and fast -- and they encourage my adventurous toddler to try a bite of her selected flavor first, to make sure it's really what she wants. It's our family's favorite ice cream shop, by far.
The ice cream is super delicious and the customer service is 10 x as good! Very kind and thoughtful. Wonderful reflection of the community!
