Dr Singh a hospitaliist at mount carmel east decided to change my mother's health care directive on his own and then told me it's not like we're going to run into her room and smother her with a blanket. They only had 16 rooms filled on the third floor because they have no nurses, the place is a joke

Mt. Carmel nearly killed me as well. They gave me HMRSA which means Hospital induced MRSA as well as 3 other infections. While I was hospitalized, simple things like asking for my phone to be plugged in and the nurses assistance said, "Sorry, she couldn't help me. Not allowed" left me flabbergasted. Their Medical Group (outpatient doctors office in 120 Taylor Road Sq) is awful. 3 doctors left within a 6 month time frame and I kept getting bounced around. No apologies, just arrogance. I would have left as well as ... read more

They try to an extent but too many poorly trained staff who are totally unable to deal with any mental complications and so staff bully patients they cannot understand and control

Mt. Carmel nearly killed me on March 14th, 2020. Anyone who is there must get out. The doctor on call on that day at the West side location must be removed from medicine. That will not happen, because of his social status & religion. At Mt. Carmel, it's not about the patient; it's about the psychosocial status of the staff. They are murdering humans unto this day, & no-one cares, because the commercial they watched conditioned them to not care.

I was appalled at the way I was treated the other night when I was rushed to the emergency room. The nurse who took my information was condescending, rude, short and curt. I explained that I had been rushed by ambulance with an anaphylactic attack last week and was treated horribly then too. The only reason I returned there was because I thought they would have my records. The nurse was completely unable or unwilling to look at my records. I was covered in hives, beet red and itching until I bled. I have read over and over t... read more

I wanted to give a special thank you to the surgery check-in lady named Teresa. My mom was having knee surgery, and I just wanted to make sure that she gets credit where it is due! Such a helpful and kind person and we are grateful for all of the help.
