I was helping a family member navigate an appointment. This Blue Shield provider said that Blue Shield had to fax in insurance information before an appointment could be considered. This dentist is listed on their site and is an assigned provider. In calling Blue Shield customer service they said this is outside of procedure. They stated usually an appointment is made and the dental office verifies insurance prior to the appointment. They keep changing the prices and the treatment plan . One day is 1200 then the next day is 1500 then it’s 9 crown today and tomorrow is 11 crowns. Then it’s one quote today and tomorrow is 26,000 The man who actually does the dental work he’s super nice and I know if I talk to him and not the guy at the front desk he will be compassionate enough to help me . But the guy at the front desk is money hungry and pretty sure he gets over on the insurance’s and people .
