This is the best honest professional auto service in Santa Barbara. I took a six year break when I bought a new car, but I am glad to be back. The owner only does what needs doing and explains why. And also explains why you don't need all the other stuff (or why you're being charged for it). 30 years of complete satisfaction with MBW.
I also brought my truck here after feeling ripped off by the dealer. In general they seem competent and what I really appreciate is that they willing to discuss options for keeping an older vehicle in in good condition without the constant over selling.
I recently started coming to Motor Brake & Wheel after feeling like the dealer was just ripping me off. So far I'm very happy with the service and prices. Very much an "old school" mechanic.
I do not recommend this place at all. I took my vehicle to this place and instead of fixing it they broke my motor. Even worse, they refused to fixed what they had broken. My experience was pretty bad, hopefully you will have better luck.
