Jessica, hmm, that doesn't sound good at all. The seafood gumbo does contain oysters, though it is possible that the scoop you were served did not. We now serve grits with butter on the side because a lot of people send them back and ask for plain. The seasoning is pre-mixed into the corn flour. It seems to work on smaller items like shrimp, oysters, and calamari, but we may need to boost it for fish.
