The prices are crazy expensive. It's worse than Whole Foods. Lower your prices. Nature's Pantry (Fishkill and New Windsor) much more competitive.
Your management has mistreated employees, and you tolerate a hostile workplace. You will have to face the market pressure of the community no longer supporting you and the full extent of the law. Plenty of places to shop for organic without hypocrisy.
I used to shop here but will no longer due to the way the antisemitism situation was handled. Claiming that something like this has never happened before is ridiculous and have seen other posts referencing some of the other things that have happened that nothing was done about (I only saw a few posts about this and am sure there have been a lot of situations that were not dealt with properly). Take responsibility for your company's culture and make a public apology. There are many things I buy at MES I cannot find anywhere else locally. I will do without.
Story I read in The Forward about antisemitism incident at store handled poorly and inappropriately.
I believe Mother Earth Storehouse is getting "a bad rap" over this terrible incident. I believe the staff are decent people and the management had neither the training or expereicne to deal with this terrible situation. I recommend , the agency put out of statement/apology, reach out to the employee and conduct some form of Civil Rights Training for all staff The NYS Dept of Labor has resources that can be utilized In summary, we will continue to shop at Mother Earth and encourage all of our friends to do the same.
I think they are over priced and many times have had experience with rude employees in the Poughkeepsie Store, I don’t like what happened in the Kingston Store.
