They'd rather you get sick and die in hospital than pay staff a livable wage. That's the message University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing is sending the community when they outsource necessary positions such as food and nutrition, janitorial, and other service work to the lowest bidder. Look elsewhere for treatment and care if you have the opportunity, because coming here may only make you more sick.
All the nurses who took care of me and my baby were so kind and caring! We also had the best pediatrician and OBGYN take care of us. I would have a baby here again.
Recently had my first baby delivered here and the doctor Mathew was absolutely perfect at making me and my wife comfortable the entire time not to mention how great our tech and other staff were they got anything we needed fast and made sure we were okay through out the entire process I'd for sure recommend getting your baby delivered here thank you sparrow and all the loving caring staff here for all your hard work!!!☺️
Went in for a non stress test. Baby was perfect and looked so healthy!! However, they wanted to admit me that night and induct me when there was no reason too. I refused and asked to go home. A doctor came in and told me if I left, my baby would probably die. Less then 24 hours later, my baby was born at home strong and healthy!! They did not respect my decision and used fear to push their agenda when it was unwarranted. Very disgusted by their lack of respect for me as a mama!! Don’t recommend!!!!
Not sure if it’s because I’m a black woman or what but no matter how much pain I’m in related to pregnancy, I get dismissed and ignored and told it’s all in my head. Nothing I say is listened to, I’m never taken seriously. Last time I went through this I had a miscarriage in the hallway of the er because nobody listened or took me seriously. Place is a joke
