Last night in porterville, we were going to get a room at the motel 6. At 12:oo noon, they couldn't give change or a 100.00 bill, and the cost of the room was 60.00. Or we would had to use a credit card. The only rooms available we upstairs, and with luggage and a small child that wasn't exceptable. The time before that, we had to fight for extra towels, because the maid didn't speak english, so that my daughter could also take a shower. We stayed in this hotel July/August of 2006 and I have to say, this was a very unsafe and dirty hotel to stay in. We found needle caps under the bed, there were drug deals going on in the other rooms, etc. They didn't even provide us with enough linens. I wrote to the company and never heard back from them, I feel that is unprofessional and I should have at least heard an apology or an offer of a refund. We will never stay at this hotel again.
