Delicious great food
Cannon ball clam chowder. Hubby and I had the cannon ball chowder. Most clams couldn’t be chewed and had to pile them up on platter. When our nice waitress asked how everything was, I showed her the clams on the platter. She then explained that when they add the new to the old chowder that can happen. So basically what you get is chowder that they keep adding more chowder to, then the clams are over cooked and chewy. The taste of it wasn’t bad, but nothing to brag about. We were seated immediately, got drinks, ordered, ate, dishes taken, shared dessert, paid and left. Satisfied with service and food.
Great location and good service...but honestly, the food is just average . Safe place to go, you know what you'll get...good but not grest.
There Clam Chowder is excellent! Sometimes there are long lines but if you leave you will hate yourself forever. It's a must stop for everyone in my family. We take all visitors from out of state here. It's one of our wonders.
Great chowder for the money
So worth the drive. Our second try here and it is worth every bit of the gorgeous scenic drive to get here. Now there is a Mo’ s in Florence.....closer to us.....yahoo! Gus says the oysters are wonderful, I had fish and chips and the portions were just right. The chowder yummy to the last bite.
