Dr. Morton is the surgeon who replaced both of my knees. It has been a year and a half since my first one was done. I would be remiss if I didn't testify to the wonderful job he did. I delayed surgery after hearing so many horror stories about knee replacements, but they did not have Dr. Morton as their surgeon. Dr. Morton has to be one of the best doctors I have met in my life. He isn't one of those high pressure car salesmen type who keep pushing surgery on you. He provides a very thorough explanation on your specific condition, options, and outcomes. I had been to 3 other surgeons previous to him over the years. I passed on surgery in the past due to the other doctors lack of bed side manner and their surgical methods. Mainly two things I don't like. As a vet with crumbling knee joints, I had an appointment with Paul Morton, MD at the VA hospital in Togus, Maine, today and came away from my appointment highly impressed. He is the first MD I have had in orthopedics who provides a comprehensive and insightful analysis on what is at stake while covering the 'good' and the 'worst' case scenarios.
