Morse Block! I’ve lived here for a while and never made it in. Oh my goodness, what a treat! My father took me to Little Italy in San Diego when I was younger and we ate as many Italian subs as we could get our hands on. Very rare in New England, Morse Block is a business that understands the art of culinary alchemy. The history of great culinary discovery and tradition is exemplified by these fantastic artisans. Vermont needs more Morse Block. And post-pandemic, the US needs to remember how food tastes, what ingredients are, and how to properly prepare fine ingredients. All of this and more is executed expertly at Morse Block Deli.
This was the first time I ordered from them and I won’t be doing it again. I understand that prices for everything have gone up, but $15 for the turkey sandwich I got was not worth it. There was not even a full serving of turkey on the sandwich (which is 3oz) and there was one piece of cheese that didn’t even cover the whole thing.
