My 97-yr old mother is having swollen leg issues (she stopped taking her diuretic unbeknownst to me) and I cannot be more impressed with how efficiently and professionally we were handled by the ER staff and the folks at the Gagnon center. I'm not sure which part of the center her room A-21 is in, but kudos to the entire staff. This has to do with the staff in the cafeteria. I was in there on the 28th at 8a during a relatives outpatient surgery.  I was way on the other side of the cafeteria by the glass windows and could still hear loud and clear the staff using the F word over and over, and saying really inappropriate things.  Maybe they and the management there need a refresher on hospital etiquette and professionalism.

In my experience, the communication as an ex-employee was horrible and some of the staff were just plain rude especially ones that were transmitting patients to different floors. I get that its a stressful environment, but that is not excuse for employees to be incredibly nasty and rude.

My doctors were excellent. Operating Room for cardiology was very uncomfortable, wires everywhere. My wife was told she would see me after surgery but they told her after the surgery she would have to wait until the next day. They called her one hour after she left and said she could see me in a half hour. Total lack of communication on their part. TERRIBLE!!  You come to the ER because you’re bleeding and in severe pain from a kidney stone.  They took people before me  who didn’t look like they’re in distress and they came in after me.  I waited over 3 hours to be seen.  They should be paid on a sliding scale, the longer it takes to be seen, the less the Insurance company pays them.

I would like to thank the Morristown Medical Center for their assistance. The team of neurosurgeons along with Dr. Fabio Frisoli is just great! I would like to express my gratitude to the nurse Olga Torchina for her attentiveness, responsiveness, and professionalism. ICU nurse Mary Grace Liwanag was an angel in a white coat. The "doctors" in the ER are not there to treat patients. They are not interested in your health or safety. They purposely gang up on patients when they're alone. Doing good cop bad cop. It's sadistic and disturbing. There are too many reviews similar to this one. That means go somewhere else and if it's too late DO NOT put up with their maltreatment. It's their choice to be lazy and verbally abusive. There are better hospitals where actual doctors do their job appropriately.

Absolutely HORRIBLE hospital! I went there because an anti-anxiety med Buspar made me manic when my Dr. raised it. They doubled the Buspar and put me on Lamictil too quickly because they thought I was Bi-polar.I had 18 horrible mental and physical symptoms including losing most of my memory, severe panic attacks, diareah for 2 months straight, and couldn't walk. Be careful in the hospital you choose for care. Morristown Medical will sue you, if you do not pay what you owe. The stress and lawsuits this hospital creates for the money you owe them is not worth it. You get the same or better healthcare in the urban city hospitals, who will not sue you and will work with you no matter how long it takes. Use this review as a lesson learned before creating a lesson that will be learned the hard way.
