I took my daughter to the Emory Johns Creek Hospital ER because she had lost consciousness a few times that day. At registration, they said nothing about the fact that they do not handle pediatrics. That part came after we had registered and waited 3 more hours, then they told us to go to a pediatric hospital. If they had informed me at the registration desk that they do not do pediatrics, we could have gotten a 4-hour head-start on the inpatient workup she appropriately received at a better hospital.
