My dad recently passed away peacefully. We decided to use Morris Nilsen for my dad's care and burial. Steve was such a blessing in this hard time. He helped us do a direct burial and was able to help get my dad into Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Due to a certain time restraint, Steve worked hard with the VA and everything worked out well. I am SO happy that my cousin recommended Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel to me after my dad passed away unexpectedly. They went above and beyond to help me. They were compassionate, accommodating and completely on top of everything. He passed away on Thanksgiving and Stefanie went back to the funeral home that night (right after hosting Thanksgiving dinner) to arrange transportation to bring my dad back “home” from the hospital. The staff here is wonderful, caring and wonderful people. They took care my sister when she past. They made me feel at ease and comfortable. They became good friends.
I'm not sure how we were so lucky to be connected with Stefanie when my dad passed away, but to say I am grateful is an understatement. Nothing is easy when someone passes, but she walked with us every step of the way with so much compassion and caring. I will never be able to say thank you enough.
What a LIFE SAVER! Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel truly helped me assist a family today with replacing an urn that was damaged in shipping for inurnment at Ft Snelling National Cemetery. When I called late on a Wednesday evening and they were willing to stop in and assist to easy a families heart today by replacing the damaged urn and allowing them to have their graveside service proceed today.
