Thomas Moro, the owner and primary chef, started his culinary career in the Detroit restaurant scene at Mario's in the late 60's. Originally washing dishes, busing and waiting tables, Tom then found a home in the kitchen where he became a line chef and performed duties such as prep work, butchering and final preparation of all entrees under Jack McKnight (The premier chef in the Detroit restaurant scene at that time). In the 70's he took his vast food knowledge with him to the US Navy as a chef. During his two tours in Italy... read more

It's Good, but expensive...Overly so – I really enjoyed the chicken dish I had there, but I was shocked at how expensive it was. I feel they overcharge a little bit, but with such a lack of good restaurants downriver, I guess they've earned the right to charge whatever they want. They have a good reputation, the food is consistently good, good service.
Be sure to try the Cherry Jubilee - it is a favorite of ours and well worth the drive for us to Allen Park! Be sure to get there early because the place is small and fills up really quick!
fantastic food great service
One of My Favorites – This is a small, romantic restaurant with great food. I've never had a bad meal here. The bread and homemade soups are excellent, and the salad made right at the table is very good. I recommend any of the veal dishes as an entree. It may seem a little pricey, but considering that you get bread, soup, salad, and fruit, it really isn't more than any average chain restaurant. The only downside of this restaurant is that they don't take reservations, and the waiting area is very small. We've found that show... read more
Remarkable Experience – Excellent food across the board. The flaming desert will bring you back. I recommend the Cherries Jubilee, once you try it you will brag about it. It is that good. Also Moro's was featured on the food Network for their one of a kind Flaming deserts.
"Impeccable" – Small, intimate, they remember you: quite simply Moro's is impeccable in every respect. The seafood is superb, the salads "to die for" (tossed tableside) and the desserts irresistable. Best: filet mignon, shrimp scampi (full pound is pricy but worth a splurge!), whitefish, nearly any pasta dish. Lovely wines/mixed drinks. Fruit and nut bowl: great touch/finish! A small caution: the singing waiter can be overly brash at times, if you're there for a quiet interlude. You may have to wait, but it is worthwhile - g... read more
Intimate dining experience – This is my favorite restaurant and my best kept secret. It is intimate to a fault, but this small size allows the personal service that is unique to this fine establishment. I have never had a bad meal or experience here. The salads, prepared at your table are perfect. The soups are awesome. And the entrees reflect the care and comittment to quality that IS Moro's. The servers are impecable and sometimes, I think they are clairvoiant, they anticipate the diner's desires. This is the place to take... read more
Romance to the max! – This restaurant in tiny and wonderful! With just a few tables, music and tableside singing, you can't beat the ambience! And the food is great, too!
The Tops! – This is the best anywhere. Excellent made-at-your-table fresh salad is a treat in itself. Generous portions are served with enough to take home and enjoy again.
