Kate is a beautiful soul with a beautiful story of the orcas and the pebbles… she embraces and respects the nature and behavior of the whales and embraces the culture behind it.
I had such a wonderful conversation with the artist and absolutely love my beautiful pebble necklace. I feel honored to have such a special piece of jewelry to wear and remind me of my trip to Vancouver.
I bought my first piece from Kate a few years ago and it has been a lovely and inspiring piece of jewelry that makes me smile every time I wear it. Kate goes out of her way to make each item soulful and magical and full of love. The beautifully written cards that go with each piece tells you more about it and her inspiration in creating it. We were browsing the artisans at Granville Island and I was drawn in by the nature based jewelry, a theme that is unique. Besides the sea themed work , a variety of leaves like linden, gingko and fern, she had samara seed pods and even a blueberry! I left with two necklaces - a bronze samara and a linden leafand she could change out chain sizes. Kate was lovely to talk to about her work, inspirations, life and tips on visiting the area. Lovely to leave with such a beautiful souvenir and memory of our trip to Vancouver.
