Wouldn't recommend for anyone on the Autism Spectrum as this place made me even more scared during an unfortunate Anxiety Meltdown after being a victim of financial theft. Nurses can be either incredibly skilled or unbelievably terrible at their job. For me, I had the better bunch right up until my stay ended. I've ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS been treated with absolute dignity and respect from all staff in this unit. Even though. My reputation is dismally tarnisyed throughout the entire south SA health which I take full responsibility for I've also over last ten or so yrs worked tirelessly to fix it, make improvements within myself to be more excepting & better member of society... This place is awful I can't walk properly they wanted me out because they did not want to help me shower they keep disabled toilet locked I had to ask every time to them to unlock it I got very sick and had to go into the sick ward when getting better they refused to take me back. If I am dead as you are reading this. This is why no help
It used to be a great ward but when I was in there last year omg it had changed so much the nurses was so bad they made me worse they never came out and integrated we patient's I had to use a walker as I could not walk later to find out I had heart problems 8 litres of fluid was taken out of my right leg. I Fell down the nurses just walked pass me as I begged them to help me. The patient's helped. The whole system needs a reviewed and changed as we are going back into the dark ages and it's
Please stay away from this awful awful place. I was freshly 18 when I was admitted here after being moved from Margaret Tobin. The staff were AWFUL they were evil nurses they left me bawling my eyes out for hours on end in the hallway and wouldn’t talk to me or pay any attention what so ever and then when I hurt myself because I was distressed the nurses stripped all my clothes off and let me in a canvas gown.
