My daughter was born in September at only 1 pound. I can’t say enough about the Nicu staff !! Mia spent 6 months there and the staff couldn’t have been any nicer. We loved the whole staff from security guards to the drs. The hardest part is leaving my crucially ill baby every night but knowing she was in the best hands was all I could ask for. You saved my babies life and I can’t ask for anything more!
My daughter was diagnosed in utero with a heart defect , I come from Staten Island so when I transferred all care to Columbia at 22 weeks the care and attentiveness had only begun. I ended up having my daughter early, and although they had a plan for 39 weeks they quickly tweaked the plans and I couldn't have asked for a better hospital , better nurses better Drs, that cardiac unit is ONE OF KIND, I will never forget 9North!!! The most thorough, patient, knowledgeable staff in NYC. The family life center is amazing and makes the children and families feel so comfortable and entertained during what can be very stressful times.
I love this Hospital they save my daughter's life very good doctors.

The care my son received at this hospital during his surgical stay was above and beyond. From the security guard at the front desk, to the ICU and regular floor nurses, to the PT therapist to the teams of doctor's not to mention the surgeon himself it was one of utmost caring, empathy, professionalism, knowledge and above all a caring touch and a willingness to really listen that made this experience one that could have been traumatic but was relieving. Am now into my almost SEVENTH hour at this hellhole Started out at the Allen Pavillion ER where despite that fact that they knew they could not treat my 15 year old because of her age they saw her in the triage They took blood work and started an IV They then told us they could not treat her because of her age and she would have to be transported to the childrens hospital this whole fiasco took FIVE hours we arrved at Morgan Stanley where we sat in the hallway for an additional hour before being approached by anyone It is no... read more
