AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY OUT OF YOUR OWN POCKET TO CLEAN UP THEIR MESS. Technician came out to service our furnace and fuel oil tank...ended up with diesel sprayed in our basement, a puddle of diesel under the filter, and a couple hundred dollars worth of art supplies destroyed by diesel. The technician did his maintenance, replaced a part for the fuel oil filter, finished up, told us that he "spilled a little diesel, but I like the smell of it haha", then left. I am very pleased with the service I received from Moore Mechanical. They were prompt in getting back to me with my questions and came the next day. I am most pleased that they were able to service my hot water heater that is in a very hard to reach location. James was very courteous and helpful. The cost seemed a bit steep, but I didn’t have time to compare prices. Was glad to get it done ASAP.
Had to pay 330 dollars for a 50 cent part. Total bill was 630 for 30 min of work. Never got a quote just a bill. The excuse for the part costing so much is because they did not have the part in the van and the boss had to grab it. Would have happily ran to the store and got it for him if I knew his hourly wage for working was 600hr, charging 330 for a 50 cent part is a joke. We’ve had Remmelt’s come out and make repairs to both our AC split air units and our radiant heat system. They were quick, effective and really helped us regulate the temperature of our home. I can’t sing their praises enough.
Very poor decision by Moore plumbing and heating. Lowe’s brought in a team of Islanders to install a new washer and dryer. They stepped on the baseboard and broke the waterline to the boiler. Then he wants to charge me $500 for a $175 TACO pump! After looking at the boiler, you could tell he just wanted to leave. He got mad as if I installed the damn boiler! When I told him I’m not an 80 year old lady that just got off the bus…he said “I can leave right now”. I should have showed him the door. He was supposed to look at the ... read more
