We came to Moon River on Mother's Day after not being able to find a place to eat. My two small kids were... Let's just say very tired and cranky by this point. The staff was wonderful. Our waitress was great making my two year old laugh and even snuggled our crying baby. The food was amazing and the swamp fox beer was excellent. This mother is extra grateful for the kindness after our original plans at a different restaurant fell through. Thanks for saving Mother's Day!
I was visiting Savannah for the first time on vacation. My boyfriend and I love craft beer and breweries so we decided to check Moon River out. We were not disappointed! Their beer selection was great! The bartender, Alex, was so helpful and friendly!! Being from Nashville, we inquired where the best place to watch the playoff game would be, and he said he would talk to a fellow hockey fan bartender inside and see what he thought. Nothing special. One drink and moving on! Beer ok..not cold. Mixed drink for my girlfriend...again nothing special. Hope the food is good but we decided to move on to the next bar! Get the drinks right! It's a bar!
We walked in after 10pm on a Thurs night. I was driving, my friend doing the drinking. He was impressed by the in-house brews, said the fruit accents were a good addition. I had coffee and cheesecake. Top marks on both.
Had a great time here. Sat outside in the garden. My husband enjoyed the beers. We both really liked the food, and also good prices. And we had lovely staff waiting on us.
"Innocent until proven Kilty Scotch Ale" was one of my highlights of an awesome visit to Savannah, GA. Wish I could buy some in Nashville.
