I had a broken PVC pipe in the wall of the 2nd floor bathroom feeding the commode. I was quoted $85 over the phone to roll the truck for a diagnosis and estimate for repairs. I was out of town when the repairmen arrived and my daughter showed them the broken pipe in the wall which I had cut the drywall and exposed prior to their arrival.
