It’s a little run down. I stayed at Moody Gardens for 3 nights for a professional conference. The rooms are shabby with dirty/peeling walls. Robes in closet hanging on hangers which looked like they got chewed up by a dog. Shower/tub needed some serious revamping. Despite changing the thermostat, the room would not warm up at all and it was freezing cold at night. We stayed at Moody Gardens Hotel on 3/21 and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. When we pulled out the sofa bed in our room for my young children to sleep on, there was trash left inside, which was honestly unacceptable for a hotel of this level. We contacted staff, and the only resolution offered was sending housekeeping at 10 PM at night. The hotel itself is adequate—nothing particularly impressive, but it gets the job done. The property does feel a bit dated, though still serviceable overall. We did have issues with the A/C during our stay. The main issue, and reason for my low rating, was the lack of guest accommodation. I’ve stayed in many hotels across the U.S., and it’s very rare that I need to request a room change. Unfortunately, this was one of those times. Everything was awesome except Monday night we walked into the little shop to get some thing the time was 5 min till close the gal as we walked in said sorry we are closed and walked us out I said we just need she said sorry we are closed went to front desk she said that's weird and should not have been closing early
