We ordered three pastas and two appetizers. Every one of them was delicious, especially the pastas. Each one was unique and reminded me of the food in Italy. With every bite, it was full of the umami and richness of cheese, yet not too salty or peppery. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the texture of the pastas was spot on. The shrimps were also tender and juicy.
Completely authentic, relaxed atmosphere. Very unpretentious and just focused on delivering a great experience. Alberto was awesome with his recommendations and was very attentive. Total professional. Had the cinghale, which is difficult to find. Home made pasta. Excellent all around with a bottle of barolo that was a perfect match. The barolo was $120, so about 2x retail, and it was half the bill. Food is very reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommend!!
Absolutely loved this place! The carbonara tasted completely authentic, you can tell it’s made by someone who really knows Italian cooking. The short rib ravioli was a standout too; the filling was so soft and well-seasoned, nothing overpowering. The whole vibe is warm and cozy, and the food matches perfectly. Highly recommend if you want proper Italian pasta done right.
The short rib ravioli and focaccia were excellent. The meatballs tasted like cheap hamburger lunch meat from my elementary school cafeteria days. The carbonara tasty dusty and not worth the calories.
Came here on a Tuesday evening for my birthday dinner. I booked through OpenTable around 6 PM, and we ended up running about 10 minutes late because of traffic from the Padres game. Parking down here definitely isn’t easy, but we luckily found a spot nearby. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet when we arrived, which I’m sure had a lot to do with the game.
