Abysmal. While waiting in the ER for Elsie to return and finish discharging me, another nurse came in and very harshly told me I'd been discharged and needed to leave. She treated me as though I were loitering for resting on the bed they had provided. It's very likely that I suffered some kind of concussion today and the lack of compassion here is truly astounding. As first-time parents, my husband and I expected our experience with Monument Health to be supportive and reassuring. Instead, we spent the last 5 months dealing with an exhausting billing dispute and multiple concerns regarding postpartum and newborn care. A lot of fancy titles but very little in the way of interaction. I might as well been a mutt off the streets and i am a military vet. Astonishingly expensive for such little done. Don't know how my insurance handled this but i have a stack of bills to choke a horse and that's lite sentiment. I have serious medical requirements and going here made me think twice. I am NOT a fan of Monument. I had mentioned to numerous doctors for 5 years straight that I was having chronic back pain 24/7. Nothing seemed to help and I was told to try physical therapy or a chiropractor. Neither worked. Eventually the pain got really bad and was causing me chest pain and vomiting. They are thieves. They charged me $2000 for me to use my own c-pap machine when I spent one night in the hospital because they said it required a respiratory specialist. I did not come into the hospital with any respiratory problems. I just used my personal c-pap. They refused to take it off my bill. We have no recourse. This is not to mention they charge at least 3 times more for the same tests at other. Hospitals.
