Montrose has a lot of things in abundance, but Chinese food isn't one of them. Conveniently located on Montrose Boulevard, just south of West Gray Street, is an almost exclusively takeout Chinese kitchen. It's a brightly charming place, despite having no dining room (save for a couple tiny tables). Not very good but open late and nearby
Delicious Dive – This place is GREAT! Seriously the prices are cheap and the food is DELICIOUS! I recommend the Kung Pao Chicken it's flavorful and has veggies in it, unlike some places that serve it. The new owners are quite nice, and have upgraded a lot of things like the credit card machine they now take Amex which is a plus for me. I would definitely recommend Montrose Chinese Restaurant for take-out and delivery. Although I would take a group bigger than maybe 5 to dine-in I'd recommend them for dine in as well.
Good Delivery/Take Out Option – These folks take great care of us. We order from them fairly often, and they're always friendly, delivery is fast, and the food is good. When you pick up at the restaurant, you find it reassuringly clean, which is nice to know. RUDE!!!! – I called to place an order for delivery, and they said I was too far to deliver to! I put their address in mapquest and mine as well, and I am only 1.5 miles away!!! I called again just to verify, thinking maybe they misunderstood, and they hung up on me!!! Rude staff, not sure about the food, because they won't deliver to me!!!
best chinese food in houston – the food is awesome, definately the best chinese take out in houston. really high quality ingredients, fairly big portions and it is always really hot and really fast. I love this place, I go for lunch at least once a week.
