They have so many great customers in here. They are really keeping this place the best in the city. They have so many great customers in here that is why I was at ease when I went here and took my car.
No guarntees I had gone to this shop while I worked in this neighborhood and I am now regretting ever having them touch my car. They started always quoting me on repairs over 1,000.00 that ended up not needing to be done. One was the check engine light came on they quoted me over 300 dollars. An Embarrassment to Mechanics I took my car in for a few things, and got it back in worse condition than I left it in. I got in the car to find several problems that they didn't bother to tell me about. When I called them out on it, they argued with me for a couple hours, agreeing to fix only minor problems, and after i was actually asked to apologize to them for accusing them of things (that they actually did) I left with a very small refund and a lot to say about how terrible my experience was. A big mistake – I have an '89 Mustang 5.0 that I took there a week or two ago. Normally, I do my own work on the car, and I only take it to a mechanic for a problem that is over my head or requires tools I don't have access to. disappointed I called Montrose Car Care to get information about the cost of an oil change, and to find out if I could have it done in under an hour. The person that answered sounded friendly and explained that I could come in and they would have it done in 30 to 45 minutes...so even though my schedule was jam-packed I figured I could get in and get it done quickly. Oil Change – I took my 95 BMW in for a oil change, at this point i'm uneasy about having this shop do any additional work on my car. When i checked the oil the next day it looked dirty as if the filter was not changed and the oil indicator was not reset. I asked for an estimate to have the thermostat and water pump changed out as preventative maintainance. I was quoted $200.00 in parts and nearly $400.00 in labor, hardly a fair price on Labor!! Have worked with Cyrus for years – Had worked with Cyrus for years while he was at Greenway Mercedes, and would follow him anywhere. He was great there, and now that he has taken over new ownership of Montrose Car Care Center, he has done all of the work on our cars at his new shop. I didn't come here based on the reviews that are posted here because some of the good ones can be written by friends and some of the bad ones could be written by enemies. I'm an AAA club member and when i searched for the nearest shop around my area, this one popped up. I had several problems with my SUV and didn't want to spend all that much on the repairs.
