I have lived at The Maxwell since September 2023. The management & service staff are making changes, for the better. Issues reported are corrected. I have a 3 bedroom, + bonus room, two level townhome. I enjoy the views & windows immensely. When I have guests, 3 bathrooms has become a nice feature. My neighbors are currently hosting a pool party & a chef with a major restaurant locally is cooking. All in all, perfect.
I have been a resident here since September of 2025. It was great, and then new management took over in 2026. Since then, I have major water pressure issues: I can only run one faucet at a time, this makes showering, doing laundry, or using the bathroom very difficult and sometimes impossible. The pool has algae growing in it, for a few weeks you couldn’t see the bottom (it’s only 4ft deep) We also have faulty a/c in our unit, the temps regularly reach 80+ degrees. It's a nice place to live...if you happen to be bacteria. Stay away from this dumpster fire.
I moved to this area of town for work. I landed at the Maxwell. My apartment is bright, it's clean and I absolutely love the plaza views. I also love the gym, it's tucked away , lots of green to look at through the windows and I love the location of the Maxwell. I will stay here as long as my employment keeps me in Kansas city! I had one small maintenance need, and Craig the technician took care of it right away.
I have lived at The Maxwell since September 2023. The management & service staff used to be responsive. Cohen was replaced by Block as a management company in December. Last year I logged multiple tickets as the apartment was not cooling and temps would reach 80 degrees plus (with the A/C running) with promises it would be resolved.
