Montilios Adams Street is a great bakery They have amazing cakes and pastry. Pizza is mediocre. The deserts are worth going for. Open late, convenient location, fair prices. Any occasion pies and nice selection of fresh breads.
delightful trip to montilios I ordered a rum cake from montilios for my mothers birthday. Let me tell you it was the best rum cake I have ever tasted! I also bought a box of assorted pastries to bring to the party, and they were gone within a matter of minutes of being on the table. Everyone I know loves montilios bakery.
Pizza yes, bakery, no The pizza is actually quite good and worth a trip. The bakery items are absolutely wretched. Dry, no taste, etc. The cake for my niece's wedding tasted like sawdust. Maybe they serve something different for JFK, but unless you're a Kennedy, or royalty, I'd steer clear of getting a wedding cake from them. Unless you actually like sawdust. extremely dissatsified Very disappointed in their products and service. A cake for Easter was ordered the week before. When picked up the day before Easter, the wrong inscription was on it. All they did was scrape off the frosting and re-print over it, very messy. To make matters worse they charged $25.00 for a 6" cake. Had it not been for our 85 year old mother, who picked it up, it never would have been purchased. That will be the last time our family shops at Montilios.
Montilios is mediocre but worthwhile... Mediocre. I would say the pizza is good, but not the best even in Quincy. I'd take School House or Super Chef first. The baked goods are good as well, and they have enough varieties to make a nice platter for hosting company or to bring to someone's home or workplace... but there's better around. I would say the same money would go much farther in the pastry shops of the North End in downtown, or in some of the yuppie dessert places in Brookline, Cambridge, and Newton if you were so in... read more
dont ever go there they are the worst bakery ever. I ordered a birthday cake from and it was the wrong flavor they charged me 300 bucks for it and wont return phone calls or give me my money back. Never again will i ever go there

Inappropriate billing This company provided a cake testing for my fiance and fiance's sister. In both cases, they decided not to purchase a cake from Montilios. However, We just received a bill for the purchase price of a wedding cake, in addition to that, so did her sister. This practice of billing once prospective clients is inappropriate.
