Yesterday I was seen by Dr. Solomon and PA Taylor Raum for a deep laceration in my right middle finger that I suffered over the weekend. He and PA Raumr examined the 8 stitches put in by urgent care, ensured I had not damaged any vital nerves or tendons, and redressed the wound. I got great care from Dr. Solomon and PA Raum and now I am well on my way to recovery with the stitches scheduled to come out next week. Yesterday I was seen by Dr. Dan Pereles for the soreness and stiffness I had been experiencing in my right knee for close to two weeks. I am 71 and an avid e-bike rider putting in 60 to 80 miles a week, so when my knee issue flared up unexpectedly, kept me off my e-bike, and began to adversely impact my other day to day activities, I became concerned that maybe I was headed for something complicated and unpleasant. RecommendedWas a patient then I became an employee as well as a patient. After I got an opportunity I could not pass up to work at University of Maryland Baltimore Medical Center, I remained a patient and continue to see a wonderful group of orthopaedists. Worce service I ever experienced. Receptionist not answering the phone. And I have show up to the office in order to talk with some in order for doctor to be able to see me. Left many messages to Xiomara and the office no one returned calls.
The staff are gems, especially "Sherrena" who answered the phone with a smile and recently went above and beyond on my behalf because she is an energetic, enthusiastic professional who truly cares about patients and clearly loves her employer (Montgomery Orthopaedics)! A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with a very rare bone disease in my wrist called Kienbock's. I was in stage 4 of the disease and my lunate bone had a fracture and was collapsing!! I met with Dr. Solomon (Montgomery Orthopedics in Chevy Chase MD) as my surgeon. We really weren't sure if surgery could even fix it and today I got news that the fracture is healed and the blood flow is still getting back to my lunate bone in my wrist - it's healing and no longer collapsed !!
