RecommendedThey care for my fur babies and do a great job to take care of any issues my babies have.
They recently put our dog down and were very caring and sympathetic towards us and our dog. We also brought our other dog to them and she absolutely loved them. They are very friendly and personable. Highly recommend bringing your pets to them!
I would just like to thank Heather, Emily, Carrie, Polly, and the rest of the staff here for their wonderful care of our animals during this COVID pandemic. Of course, they are wonderful anyway, but I feel that they have gone above and beyond in many ways to keep my four-legged babies healthy and happy. Also, Dr. Emily is such a wonderful addition, and we feel very confident with her. Just thanks for being there for us.
I have called several times through the years as I was recommended to you guys by family because I heard that Dr. Ludlum is great and each time I spoke to a lady named Carrie. She is so rude. I can’t believe she is allowed to be a receptionist. She is so unpleasant. I will go elsewhere if I’m just going to be treated like crap.
When my 18 year old Siamese was very sick and needed to be euthanized, no other vet would see him the same day. Monterey was able to fit us in same day despite Simon never having been seen there before. They were very compassionate and caring. We were able to get in and out quickly although we were assured we could take a much time as we needed to say goodbye to Simon. Also very reasonably priced fee. I would definitely choose Monterey for future care when I do get another cat.

We found Heather 20 years ago when we moved to the neighborhood and wanted a "country vet". We loved her then, and we love her today.
even with the staff dealing with phone and network issues, on top of being booked got me in for a borderline emergency.( I may exaggerate thinking my dog was worse of than he was.) and put me at ease and dealt with it extremely well. very happy that's where I went and will be returning with romi for all future care.
Best Vet in the area. Well worth the 40 min drive. If you are looking for a Vet who is loving, caring and knows her stuff, this is the one to choose.
