First off I want to say that the office staff is very friendly and the maintenance man CJ is amazing. The reason I'm giving it one star is because I moved across the country and rented these apartments unseen based on the reviews I had a ground floor apartment and I was seeing about four cockroaches a day. I was told these are the palmetto bugs that typically live outside, but I moved during rainy season So they would come in. I also started seeing baby ones which indicates infestation. I have lived at Monterey going on 4 years now. I am quite happy living here. It is quiet; even with busy Beach Blvd traffic, we dont hear it much. Maintenance has been quick to come & fix what's broken. The maintenance guy, CJ has been very helpful with various issues I have had since living here. He is kind and quick to help if there is a problem. The complex is clean, and well kept. The apartments are nice and they have get-togethers every once in a while to have some fun & get to know the neighbors. I also feel safe here ... read more
