We reserved a room with A/C, just in case. Since it's in Monterey it was $300 a night, not cheap, but very close to the wharf, walking & biking trails, and a lot of restaurants. Pool and jacuzzi and fire pit outside. Front desk very pleasant and helpful. Parking spaces marked for your specific room, which was nice so you do not need to search for an open spot. It was our 30th anniversary, so we decided to splurge a little.
We had a wonderful stay at Monterey Bay Lodge! The location was perfect for exploring Monterey, and the property had such a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the convenient location close to the waterfront and local attractions. Overall, a great experience and a place we would happily stay at again. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very clean, very comfortable
I’m giving it only two stars because the room we were assigned smelled musty; we had to sleep with the window open. Since it was just for one night, we decided to stay anyway. The bathroom sink was dirty, and we found a towel with yellow stains. The room had a tiny refrigerator sitting on the floor, so you had to get down on your knees to put things in or take them out. The hotel's location is good and offers a nice view—that’s the reason for the two stars. Paying $500 for one night with this level of service is unacceptable... read more
