TL; DR: Go to a different hospital. I had a near death experience in December where I was hospitalized for 2 weeks. Typically I go to Montefiore if I think I need to stay in a hospital. There are some good Healthcare workers here. Unfortunately they're completely overshadowed by the ones who shouldn't even be in the field. I was in the ICU being treated by a nurse who was actively looking for work elsewhere, even going so far as to have me lower the volume on the TV so she could complete her call. They had only one working elevator. The lady who you ask info for was amazing! She was so kind and very helpful that is why I gave the extra star. The wait time was not the best at all. I feel like the doc was just saying anything to move on to the next patient. It wasn't the best experience and I'm not sure I want to return.
