Great hospital with excellent doctors and nursing staff. I am more than gratefule with the attention and care. I received my kidney transplant from here.
My Aunt is currently a patient at Montifore ( Moses campus ) . She was sent to this hospital last Thursday , March 27th , for weakness and it turned out her cancer returned. We were told she was going to be admitted for further tests which was fine . What was not fine was that she was stuck in the Emergency Department for 24 hours to be placed in a room upstairs . I've lived in the Bronx most of my life. Montefiore on gunhill road is the worst. Everyone that I've known that goes in there for a serious illness never made it out. The hospital is to big to give person centered care. My mother fell and broke her leg while trying to call for help . The buzzer was broken its a slaughter house please don't take your loved ones there they won't make it back home ,
