Like the reviews say, if you are coming from anywhere other than NYC you will be appalled at the living conditions here. This is a very impoverished neighborhood and the housing reflects that. Roches are everyone, especially at lower level apartments, rats in the laundry room. It's cheap housing in the Bronx.
Moved out recently for fellowship. I still get nightmares about this place - living at here was awful. The place is filthy with roaches everywhere, and management does nothing about it. The apartments are old and rundown—nothing's been updated in forever. Sure, the rent is cheap, but it’s cheap for a reason. The location in the Bronx is terrible too—sketchy area, loud all the time, and it doesn’t feel safe. You’re paying for a rundown apartment in a bad neighborhood. Honestly, avoid this place at all costs!"
I lived there for 1 yr in 1978 on 21st floor facing West. Great view of Palisades, Bronx, Manhattan skyline. It was ok for the price ~ $225/ mth and I recall parking was ~$25 Convenient to Monte where I was training. Sorry to hear not well maintained.
