I would recommend the Monte Nido program itself but not this location. The issues all stem from a lack of professional leadership at the site. This creates a chaotic atmosphere that makes recovery more challenging than it already is. Examples include very often losing client’s belongings (without reimbursement), meals not happening on time, and medications not being dispensed on schedule. I think it is funny that a facility that is supposed to help people with their eating disorders activity promotes and encouraged the smoking of cigarettes. They hand them out two at a time along with the clients lighter. Individuals in poor health are allowed to smoke. The nicotine alone in cigarettes is an appetite suppressant. Make it make sense. All the clinicians are amazing (shout out to Caroline!). I think all of them are great at their jobs, which unfortunately isn't the case at every program. If I ever needed to go back to res I'd wanna go back there

My younger brother admitted himself to Monte Nido Glen Cove twice over the past two years and although he is still working on his recovery, I believe Monte Nido has played an integral part of this. The staff, especially his therapist Alyssa, genuinely care and do everything they can to help their clients reach their goals.
