Absolutely, positively DO NOT rent these apartments. All the five star reviews were with previous management. I don't really like leaving negative reviews and avoided writing this for a long time but these guys will literally beg you to drop them a terrible review. They will twist your arm and won't let up until you write a bad review for them, they will break your patience and all decency you have and will not rest until you escalate things. This is by far the worst building I’ve ever lived in. I’ve been a homeowner most of my life. I am appalled at how glib and unresponsive JCM Living, the property management company, behaves to addressing common issues. I’ve had a leaking ceiling twice because they were too frugal to fix the roof properly last year. I was promised a garage spot when I moved in 5 years ago, only to be told I had to pay an extra $150 per month, which was not the case when I signed my lease. Do not live here. Echoing the last review, the walls are thin and you can hear every conversation and tv in the entire building. In addition the washer and dryer always smelled like dog and dog hair in it. I also terminated my lease as I couldn’t stand the noise, uncleaned washer and dryer and the barely a parking space as no average car could fit any of these spots. 819 Bloomfield ave apt12 Montclair NJ 07042 If I could I would rate below zero. Neighbor below me blasts music whenever he pleases 2 am,4 am ….. I asked management to email him but not sure if they did because he continues being loud. Due to this im moving out. My neighbor told me that everybody knows this place is so cheap and walls are thin and I should suck it up. Shame on management allowing keep him be inconsiderate. I’ve never had such a terrible experience in my life!!!!
Relatively quiet, respectful and considerate neighbors in the apts on the 2nd/3rd floors make living here wonderful - almost like a peaceful retreat from the hustle and clamor of the lower Montclair area. Well maintained apts and grounds, the Superintendent is attentive, and just the best. Truly enjoy my time here...
