Went to the store at 10:00am and the doors were locked. I came back at 10:05 and they were still locked but they opened the door for me. I was asking for a pen I saw online and the salesperson quickly said “they don’t sell $290 pens there” only start at $395. Which is fine, but he said it with a very pretentious attitude like he didn’t want to help and didn’t try to sell me anything else. I had to tell him, “Ok, well show me what you have”. I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received from Ricardo Ramirez at Montblanc Dadeland. As a loyal Montblanc customer, I expect professionalism and honesty, both of which were sorely lacking. Initially, I was told I couldn’t process an exchange due to the store’s “WiFi issues.” While inconvenient, I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt and stayed in contact with Ricardo to ensure the exchange could be completed. Big burly bearded guy with glasses is very condescending. I told him my pen was malfunctioning and he looked and spoke to me as if I had no idea what I was talking about. Maybe it was my clothes? Maybe he thought I couldn’t afford their pens? Anyway, I need new ink and told him the cartridge (?) was too short, and he insisted that I was wrong taking me to the exhibit case to show me pens (b/c I clearly have never seen a pen before), whereupon I told him I’ve owned several MB pens and am not an idiot.
