We had dinner last night. I really wanted to ignore the negative reviews as I didn’t believe there was any way service could be as bad as people were saying. But they were right! When we showed up, they couldn’t find us in there system, even though we had a confirmation from Resy of the booking. They assured us it wouldn’t be an issue and proceeded to sit us at a table. Lovely restaurant. Seafood hummus was an unexpected favorite. Filet and scallop pasta was also very good. Nice that they have a jazz night on Saturday
Strangest thing happened after notified of our confirmed Sat. Brunch resevation for my 20th wedding anniversary. Got there to find it totally empty of workers or patrons. Waited, nobody came. Door was open, music playing, we yelled, Hello, hello. No one, so we left. I don't know what happened.
Montauk did not disappoint! This place really is a gem in the South Bay! Impressive on many levels and we aren’t easy to impress! We come from NYC and Vegas and they really delivered on the absolutely gorgeous Ralph Lauren designed interior and perfect ambiance lighting, on to the delicious and beautifully plated food, to the exceptional service by Anthony!
