Montare was a great outpatient program. I’ve been to other places but I’ve never experienced so much love and genuine help from people. My caseworker Sandra was amazing and stood by me through the ups and downs and helped me get my life back. My therapist Robin was great too. I now have recovery in my life thanks to Montare.
Background on me: I have Kaiser insurance. They initially sent me to another outpatient program which was so bad. I came to Montare’s outpatient program after going through their residential program. It has turned my life around. I thought there was no hope as i had been dealing with major depression and anxiety and PTSD symptoms. I thought it was untreatable. Montare proved me wrong. I actually cried on my last day. I didn’t want to leave. I am here to tell you I had a great experience.
Montare is a great program but one of the things that stood out to me the most was my caseworker Sandra. She went above and beyond to help me at my lowest point, and because of her support, I am back in work, I live in a safe house, I’m able to buy groceries, and generally have gotten my life back on track. Tina, my therapist, and Marthius are staff that are have shown extreme kindness and care that helped me get through difficult times. This program has been hugely helpful towards my recovery. I’m so grateful.
This review is for the Montare Alumni Program. What can I say? As an alumni of Montare, I have been blown away by the amazing quality of events put together by alumni coordinator Lynne Biehl. I just returned from an amazing alumni tune-up weekend, full of meditations, sound baths, drum circles, and the like all in the middle of an absolutely gorgeous remote property near Malibu surrounded by community and nature.
