If I could give this place a negative star I would. The lady at the front desk was nice and helpful and the office looked nice but that’s it. There is literally trash everywhere and when we went to look at a house there was a used needle in the driveway and the basements smelled like mildew and rot. Not only that we met a tenant there who said we could pay her $65 dollars for a move in mow of the yard and basically the yards are unkept. It is truly impressive how quickly Montara Village can act when rent is a few days late. Three days behind, and suddenly the eviction paperwork is moving at lightning speed. If only that same level of urgency existed when tenants submit maintenance requests. Apparently, filing for eviction is considered a higher priority than fixing the issues people actually pay rent to have addressed. Never been a montara resident but lived next to 2 of their houses for the last 4 years and anytime a tenant moves out their maintenance people are only there for a few days and 80% of the time they are are “working” they are outside snooping at other people’s stuff or having their significant other go through neighbors trash. Everytime we get new neighbors and visit the houses don’t even look like they clean or fix any damages.
