Old property that desperately needs updated. Tired furnishings, chipped paint, but the worst part of all is their service. It feels like a Marriott. I’ve stayed at several Montage properties and this one is the worst. They do not have enough restaurants on property to accommodate guests and don’t seem to care. No one to help unload luggage, clueless staff that tells you you’re upgraded when you’re not and no communication between team members. For these prices there are much better options.
I don’t usually leave Google reviews, but my experience at Montage Palmetto Bluff has been so underwhelming that I felt compelled to share an honest account. We are currently staying here during Spring/Easter break 2026 as a family of four with two young boys. We are no strangers to luxury resorts and regularly return to places we love, including Sea Island (GA), The Breakers (Palm Beach), Banyan Tree Mayakoba, and Kiawah Island.
