My husband needed to be moved from upstairs to a hospital bed downstairs. I called hospice and they told me to call 911 for a lift assist, which I did. The 2 guys from Monroe Ambulance came out and explained to my husband that they were going to lift him into a chair that they use to move people down the stairs. My husband gave them a thumbs up and within seconds of them lifting him and setting him in the chair he passed away. Absolutely amazing! My mom’s blanket was left behind after transport from hospital to hospice. We called they washed and dried and bought it to hospice, means so much to my family. Thank you for the incredible compassion. 😇

I called an ambulance because my son was weighing avon and he was bringing me my inhaler, but it was taking a while, so I needed some medicine right away.Couldn't breathe. But when they got here, they told me they could not give me medicine.If I was not agreeing to go to the hospital which is crazy.So they'd rather leave me not being able to breathe because I was not going to go to the hospital.So they could get more money when all I needed was some medicine right then and there.So I can breathe, so they left me home with no... read more

My husband had to be taken to the hospital with Monroe Ambulance earlier this year. Once they came to our home my husband was told he needed to walk downstairs and out of our home before he could be helped on the gurney. Reps were told he had sciatica and back was killing him. Come to find out had bulging disks on top of sciatica and was kept in the hospital over a week. Why would they make him walk with a back issue? The astute and skilled paramedics at Monroe Ambulance literally saved my husband's life by making critical time-sensitive decisions while transporting him to Strong Hospital. We will be forever grateful. The cost is overwhelming and I therefore needed to understand payment options.
