The pits This place is down right horrible.The bartenders are like rottweiler's on sleeping pills! I had a taco salad which im pretty sure someone spit in! and my Coors light was piss warm! Cod father sandwich is like a slimmy battered slab of slime! Your money would be better spent at the hot dog shop down the road!
Great place hangout with friends Always a great place to take friends for a good night out on the town. The food is wonderful, the staff is great and the girls behind the bar rock...thanks for keeping the rocks cold. Live entertainment on the weekends. Bar and Restaurant seating.
Monroe Hotel is terrible!! I have been eating in Butler for over 20 years and I must say the Monroe is always a big disappointment! Everytime I leave there(sick to my stomach), I swear I will never go there again but somehow I do. If you go there during lunch and order a certain item then go there during dinner and order the same item, you will receive two different dishes. I would not recommend this business to anyone unless you are the type of eater that likes to get something completely different everytime you go there!!
Pretty good The food is pretty good although some dishes we'll pass on, not great. Big portions of food, very friendly staff. Downside is that it is very smoky (even to a smoker) and the decor could do with a bit of updating! Otherwise good.
Monroe Hotel is repulsive! After finding several pieces of hair from a "questionable" origin, I will never go back. I used to frequent this restaurant often for family occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc...)as well as just a night out and was shocked to have had this happen. They will no longer get the service of my family or friends. The owner was notified and I can only hope that action will be taken to ensure this will not happen again. Best of luck to anyone eating there.
Good Bar Food The monroe is a great place to get good bar food at a reasonable price. it's always crowded so be sure to arrive early because i don' t think they take reservations. PROS: CONS: Very smokey.
Great Food/Catering Their catering service is wonderful with fast and friendly service!! We have the Monroe Hotel cater our breakfast and luches at work all the time. The food is great, I haven't found anything I didn't like!!
