The people here have no idea what they're doing
I came to emergency twice with severe excruciating back pain two months ago, which was radiating into my leg, and I also had partial numbness of the foot. Even though the receptionist and triage nurse who was triaging me was very polite, professional and sympathetic to my ordeal I was forced to sit and for wait for 8 hours on a plastic chair in extreme agony to see a doctor. I stayed in unit 2 for a week and felt pretty isolated at times because I couldn’t see my family very much but that aside I think the nurses were super friendly as well as the doctors and social workers. There was a coffee machine which was a plus as well as a tv. I felt safe but just wanted to get out of there and it was a very long process and uncertainty around when I was going home. I was however lucky that I was only in there for one week. I think if I was in there for any longer I would have gone crazy.
Went for a bunch of tests and glucose test. Staff wrre very informative over the phone and were able to acommodate me last minute
