We originally called Monarch for a maintenance and they ended up convincing us we needed a new system, kept them for maintenance and were always being upsold things on every visit, 5 years later they sent out a tech that told us our 5 year old system, dude to our old ducts had a cracked heat exchangers, very dirty blower compartment, damaged circuit board and had C02 leaking in the house so they red tagged us so we wouldn’t use furnace. The tech was very nice and professional but I got a red flag when he came in (before checking anything) saying we might not have good news for you. Checked over the unit, took pictures. Thought it was the capisitor. Called in his supervisor. He showed up, said they have one in the truck. Do I want them to replacing it at $475? Then stating that is just the start, we won't know until we get it running if there are anymore issues. They replaced it, and it was working but they said the motor doesn't sound good.
