Absolutely loved the atmosphere of Gideon Owen! Food was delicious, Lobster Bisque is a must and the Walleye sandwich was good!
The employees were rude, rude, rude! Obviously they could care less if we ever came back... so we won’t!
We had the best day at Gideon Owen yesterday! Our food (the walleye sandwiches and lobster bisque were hits!) and the staff were amazing! We literally ended up spending the entire day here and moved to one of the bench tables outside to enjoy the music and drinks. The wine was excellent and it was nice that they had other drinks to add some variety. Inability or unwilling to seat or manage the customers. Many things could have been done to allow reservations outside or deal with crowds. Instead, just state that it’s always this way. Too bad, I had high hopes.
We planned to go here for my mother in laws 60th bday as it is her favorite. The family doesn’t get together often and we drove from Columbus this morning to meet and dine here. We were told when we arrived around 3:25 that it would be an hour wait for our party of seven. We added our name to the list and drove down the road to grab a drink.
