The food is always good here. Tried the cajun chicken for the first time (as a wrap) and it could use more cajun seasoning imo, but it ate very well. Karen (our server) is always great to us.
I really want to love Mom's, but the experience is always hit or miss for me. There's no consistency with the food, which is disappointing because the name suggests homemade quality. The breakfast potatoes and scrambled eggs are either pitch perfect or soggy and overcooked. This time, my food came out about 6 minutes after ordering in an otherwise empty restaurant. No idea why this place is so well-reviewed. Every time I've come in there, the food was bland, the counters were sticky, and I immediately regretted not going anywhere else. For some reason, this restaurant comes up when you Google "vegetarian restaurants chico"? Yeah no, not really. It's not like this is some amazing diner that's super accommodating to every dietary restriction. I couldn't even get a decent egg white omelet!
